OF A FAMILY, FOR A FAMILY
Danika was born from the minds of Menno and Kristel, an enterprising and brooding couple, who at the time had their hands full with their five young sprouts. Menno, who was raised entirely on clay from Zeeland Flanders, received a social education, but later threw himself into the business world. Kristel, who grew up in Hamme in East Flanders and is a self-employed nurse, left her profession when she became pregnant with twins, the two youngest children in the group. They hurriedly looked for an extra helping hand in the household, but had to conclude that a suitable help was very hard to find. Therefore, they looked for other possibilities and decided to start a service cheque company. They applied to the government for recognition and on 1 October 2007 they were given the green light to officially start Danika, Slavonic for morning star. Danika immediately offered its main services: cleaning, ironing and care services.
The company quickly gained momentum and customers and employees alike found their way to our services in droves. Since Danika believes in serving both employees and customers locally, the number of regional offices, as well as the number of employees, grew steadily over the years.
Our ambition is mainly defined by our vision to bring all parties involved together in the best possible way according to our three main pillars in which Danika is a company:
- which is an indispensable part of the customer's living comfort
- where employees like to work and stay
- that creates social prosperity in the region
